I always knew you would make it back to Iceland this summer...but to Bifrost i was not so sure...i am thinking that yes you must be a secret member of the Bifro mafia...was there not any other options or did Renato give you a special bonus to endure another summer in Bifrost???? Anyway as you probably realise i will not be making it back to Iceland this summer. You can celebrate when you finish reading this....even though i thought you guys were the best to work with..(.and argue with!!!)This partly due to the expense of flying there....right now i can maybe make it to Thailand or Hawaii...but no farther. And the other reason is that ...well i am just having too good a time cruising around down here in the south of the South Island. I was in the top of the island but then a job opportunity came up down here in Queenstown ( the adventure capital of NZ )where i am just now and so i shot down , had the interview and now am just waiting to see if i have it or not. It is not in a hotel but a backpackers hostel doing reception and cleaning...in a lot more relaxed and friendly atmosphere than 5 star hotels. In the meantime i have been tramping around...i did one of our Great Walks last week....called the Kepler...that involved tramping through forests,across alpine ridge tops and by lakes...it was f*****g beautiful...despite when crossing the ridges it was nearly blowing a gale and starting to piss down. The rest of the days were great weather wise though ...as it is right now. Well we are still in summer here!!! And well if i do not get this job i will just hit the trails again for a while...then seriously think about finding some work down here.
